Exciting Things Happening At Jamestown!
- Congratulations to our Sunday School Superintendent, Bo Kemp! Our SS ranked 6th in the Kentucky District's TOP TEN LIST for growth (+15) and our Morning Worship tied for 8th place (+15) for November 2006!! AND our Sunday School ranked #6 for growth for January 2007 (+6)!!!
- Twenty-Seven people have been saved since May 1, 2006!
- A Countywide youth revival sponsored by Jamestown 1st Baptist Church was held in the Jamestown Church of the Nazarene Gymnasium on October 22-24 with over 60 youth attending each night!
- On Sunday night, October 22, we hosted a Southern Gospel Concert in the Sanctuary with 96 in attendance while the Countywide Youth Revival was being held in our gymnasium with 80 in attendance.
- Our youth group has grown 300% since May with 13 teens being saved and 3 baptized!
- Our Church's average attendance for October 2006 was 104 in Sunday School and 107 in Morning Worship! This does not include our three extension Sunday School Classes with an average of 20!
- On "Pastor Appreciation Sunday", October 29, we had 141 in Sunday School, 140 in Morning Worship and 96 on Sunday Evening!
- Our mid-week ministries consist of: (1) Tuesday morning Bible study at 9:00 a.m., (2) Tuesday night, Celebrate Recovery, at 6:30 p.m., (3) Caravan, Youth Group and Prayer Meeting on Wednesdays at 6:00 p.m., (4) Sunday School/Bible Study at the Russell County Jail on Thursdays at 9:00 a.m., (5) Ladies Prayer Group on Fridays at 6:00 p.m., and (6) Celebrate Recovery, off-campus in Russell Springs on Fridays at 6:30 p.m.
- Our Church grew in 2005-2006 by 16% in Sunday School, 8% in Morning Worship and 3% in financial giving over our previous fiscal year.
- 15 infants and children dedicated on Baby Day, May 7th, 2006. The children's names are: Bryce Alan Cowell, Rebecca Shuck, Hannah Shuck, Steven Ray, Bronson Carter, Kala Lynn Carey, Braden Smith, Sahara Jade Gabber, Jacob Gabber, Raquel Areli Marin/Reeder, Ryder Jayce Rigney, Makhia Grayson, Wyatt Gunter, Sarah Crawhorn, Haley Curvin, Deanna Curvin.
- Our Church's first "Call To Prayer" was held October 13 from 2:00 p.m. until approx. 10:00 p.m. with 27 adults attending! Our second "Call To Prayer" was held on November 3 with 56 attending.
- Nineteen people have been baptized since May 1, 2006!
